I have a Moen single lever faucet Model #: 6124SRS . I have a lot of difficulty getting hot water at the kitchen sink. The water line runs into the basement. The wash tub in the basement which shares the same water line from the hot water tank is extremely hot quickly. I just replaced the cartridge in the faucet last week, but it did no good. Ideas?

Close stop valves under sink. Remove cartridge. Hold cup or glass over faucet and briefly open hot stop valve to flush out cartridge body.
If that does not correct problem you have a blocked or partially blocked stop valve on hot side.
