I am on H1-B visa from Jan 1st 2006. Before that I was a student on opt & F1. I am single and have been in US from Aug' 02.

Should I file 1040EZ or 1040NR-EZ? Please advise.

TaxCut software filled out 1040EZ but never asked my resident status. Can I proceed with this?

You can proceed with the Form 1040EZ. Since you were H-1B for EVERY day in 2006, you are a resident alien.
