Ceiling Fan from Sears, Designer's Choice M8CRL 103 - Need Remote to talk to Receiver
I have a ceiling fan purchased from Sears approx 1 years ago. The remote is Thermostatic so you can set the temp. It says M8CRL 103 on the back and Designer's Choice on the front. I had to replace the batteries and also had the power to the fan off for a few days. When I turned the power back on, the receiver in the canopy did 1 long beep, and several short beeps for approx 1 minute. It was trying to communicate with the remote, yet I don't know what button(s) to push on the remote to have it once again work with the receiver.

Start by double checking the polarity of the batteries, one could be in backwards. What is the fan model #?

Thanks for the reply ballengerb1. The batteries are in correctly. The sticker on top of the fan says Model 5745. When I turn the power off and back on, the receiver is trying to learn the code from the remote. I remember the manual (which I no longer have) said something about this. When turning the power off and back on, the receiver gives 1 long beep followed by about 45 seconds of short beeps. While the receiver is beeping I'm supposed to push buttons on the remote so it talks to the receiver, and the receiver then learns the code of the remote. Trying to see if anyone knows what buttons to push on the remote.

That does not look like a Sears model number.

It may not be the model # Sears used, yet is what's listed on the label. I bought this 14 years ago.

I found more info on the fan housing. It says Sears Model 95826, Sears Stock 9 99081, and WH00052.

Do you have the instructions for the fan?
