I went to the ER last night with a swelled left testicle and was diagnosed with epididymitis. They gave me a shot and 20 doxycycline. Since then the swelling has doubled in size but the pain hasn't, should I go back to the ER to have it looked at?

ERs do have telephones. Ask for the charge nurse, even though the staff will be all different today (usually)

Correct. We will then tell the person on the phone that we cannot give medical advice over the phone. If the person is too concerned to wait until the office is open on Monday, they should be seen today.
