So I have a 4 hole bathtub tap set , I have to buy a new one every month because the part you pull to activate shower breaks and water runs out both the tap and the shower head. My hot water also seizes to close completely. I have spent over 2 grand paying plumbers and buying new parts and this exact problem happens every time. I at first thought it was too high pressure what do you think ?

Where are you, and what is the brand and model number of your shower set, so we can either guide you through this, or get you some qualified help.

One would think a warranty runs more than 30 days, and I seriously doubt if this has anything to do with the water pressure. Please more info, or pictures, or BOTH.

Sorry for the troubles you are experiencing with your Diverter valve. Can you post photo of your present set up ?
Is there Diverter knob installed as individual piece - or is built into the spout ? Wall mount or Deck mount ?

    Please, post photo.

    Branden,
You may have water quality issues. Suspended particles can errode / grind away at closely machined valve surfaces; usually you will find evidence of sand, grit, iron, etc in your toilet tanks. Dissolved minerals, often found in water that is '' hard '', will leach out of the water as it is heated, and, will collect on the inside of the hot water piping, especially where there is a reduced / restricted flow or delivery...
