After a oil change Pepboys said I needed a brake job. Front disk $139.99 Rear shoes $139.99 Total $279.98 mileage at 80,000 Toyota Echo 2003. Had the disk done in 2007 at 43,000 miles. By Tire Plus who told me at that time I didn't need rear brakes(Shoes)


Pepboys also told me I needed a cabin air filter. Which I replaced only six months ago. Wonder if they are telling the truth?

I'd get a second opinion.

If your brakes do need replacing, I recommend that you use premium ceramic pads, that you make sure they completely change the brake fluid, and that you make sure they clean the caliper pins and lubricate them with silicone grease.
