My 35lb Brittney ate several(not sure how many) 180mg sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim tablets. I called the vet, they said to keep an eye on her and bring her in for fluids if she seems to worsen. Does this sound right?

Think your vet is the best resource. Put the meds in a better place.
I think you mean INGESTED, or your dog ate this antibiotic. Which it is; used for bladder infections. Would have entered the blood stream very quickly. How does your dog appear now ! Are you keeping an eye on him for any unusual behavior?
Yes, I did mean ingested. --Auto correct--
Thanks for your reply. I felt pretty confident in the vet's advice, I was just thought maybe someone else had this happen. She is perfectly fine now. And just for the record, we do keep our medication in a proper and safe place. This was accidentally left out as my husband was in a hurry.
Thanks for getting back to us !
There are no vets on this site, so if your vet gave you advice, I'd go with it. I wouldn't trust someone else even if this happened to their pet before. I'd trust the vet.
Hope the pup is okay. Please keep us posted on how he's doing.
