    Toilet tank and bowl
My toilet when flushing is filling up the bowl and overflowing instead of emting the bowl- tried plunger - did not work?
I hate to call a plumber if I can fix this myself

How long does it take the water to seep our of the commode bowl? Do you notice any noise or water in the shower, tub, or any other place. If you can determine that it is only the commode that is stopped up then the plunger may do the trick if you continue to use it. If not there is a device called a closet auger that you can run through the commode and possibly unstop the commode. If you purchase a auger do not purchase a heap one, it will only be a waste of money. A good one should cost in the neighbor hood of $25 to $35.
    Good Luck.

You can fix this yourself Sheryl,

All you'll need is a closet auger,(see image) and some muscle power. You have a blockage in the toilet bowl. Porchase a closet auger from your local hardware store and follow the directions that came with it. It you need more assistance click on back. Good luck, Tom
