    Was this for a test? Probably too late then, but I was a metalsmithing minor in college. So... false. You only heat to liquid, if you are casting something. Most everything else is fabricated/built up. Soldered. Pounded into shape. You heat it frequently to anneal it, and keep it flexible while shaping, but never hot enough to become liquid... because it will eff your work (make it brittle).
