Hair trap on tub drain line
I am trying to take the top off a hair trap. It appears to have a nut on top but I am unable to budge it. Does the nut turn the whole top or just the nut and then you remove the top? Any suggestions on how to break the nut free? I have tried liquid wrench to no avail. It has been in place for over 50 years.
    Thank you

You have to keep trying. Get a good grip at it. Sometimes, if you put wrench on it and pull hard, you will compress the nut making it even harder to turn.

We use large channel locks and grab the nut so each jaw is opposite of each other. That way you get even pressure on the entire nut.

    Back to you
