A guy said he wouldn't go out with me, but when he's not with his friends, he stares at me like I am Gorgeous. I used to feel like I was pretty, but I'm not so sure now. Lots of guys (since pre-history) like to do the chasing. I have a feeling he might think you are too forward. Plus you didn't listen, not really, when he turned you down for a date, so that borders on creepy.


(Oh, and don't have friends deliver gifts either, to anyone, anytime, ever. And maybe you got the whole reason why backwards - because they were from you INDIRECTLY, and are contaminated because you had someone else deliver them.)

If you have had a lot of dates with a lot of different guys, and broken a lot of hearts. he may just not want to get involved.

He's not into you. He doesn't want to date you. Since dating is a consensual agreement you stop forcing the issue. You won't be able to convince him, and if you do it won't last. There could be a lot of reason, but they don't really matter. You just need the answer, not the reasoning behind it, and it is no in this case.

I would forget him and try to find someone else, or wait for someone else to find you. This will just lead to... bad things if you pursue it any farther.

I mean have you ever talked one on one with this guy? Sure you're 17? Doesn't sound like it. Sounds more like grade school and you sound PUSHY with a gang behind you.

Fine, I get it...maybe he doesn't want to go out with you for some reason. Who knows what that reason is and really, he doesn't owe anyone an explanation of why he doesn't want to. It could be anything.

You should just leave him alone and forget about him because, as I said, he is an (same bad word as before) ....why is he an (use of same bad word again) ? Because he said the candy bars from you were contaminated. Honestly, that is how we used to talk about girls when I was in 3rd grade...cooties and all that crap....but for a 17 year old guy (he is 17, right?) to say something like that? He's a moron. He simply could have said he is not interested in dating you and therefore does not think it right to take gifts of any kind from you. He's an (again I used that word) ....did I say that already?

On the other hand, perhaps you are a little too aggressive or forward in your approach and he has grown tired of your antics. You did say he told you he didn't want to go out with you but then you went ahead and bought candy bars for him anyway AND had your friend deliver them....what else did you do that you didn't mention? It's time to lay off and find another idol to place you sights upon.

And I have to add....In re-reading this, I am truly wondering if you're as old as you claim. It's not that I really doubt you or that I want to offend you but the way you wrote this out and what you did and what he did...it all sounds like grade school stuff and not the kind of thing that happens in high school. Just saying.
