I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date!
Hello I am 24 and I am 8 days late! My cycles always start on the first or second of every month.. even after pregnancy, delivery, breastfeeding my periods went back to normal. I have a 2 year old now and was pregnant once before him and each time, my at home tests popped up positive right away. I took 3 at home tests this time and they all came out negative. I was wondering if maybe now that I'm older my hgc levels could change or whatever? Can I be pregnant and what should I do. I don't have a lot of time during the week to go to doctors appointments so the easiest method to get an answer would be great. I also woke up this morning with a pain in my stomach directly underneath my bellybutton. It lasted for about an hour or so and now I'm fine. Somebody please give me some advice on what I should do. Thank you in advance

Since cycles can be off now and then, even if it hasn't happened before, I'd wait a bit longer and see if it is just late this month. If still no period, either try another home test, work in a doctor appointment and ask about having a blood test, or wait until next month and see if you just happen to skip a month.

I agree with Doula. Every woman experiences an off period sometime in her life. Stress can alter when you get your period, so can illness, medication, weight loss, weight gain, medication, you name it. Eight days late isn't really late in the grand scheme of things.

When you tested did you test using first morning urine, and did you follow the instructions of the test exactly? Also, what sort of test did you use?
