    Second Toilet Installation
    Hi there,

I am installing a second toilet in my house directly underneath the existing one. The soil pipe runs vertically inside the wall from the bathroom upstairs to the cupboard where the additional toilet will go. Accessing the pipe is easy but while accessing it, I have discovered an extrusion branch on the soil pipe. This is roughly where I would be putting a tee branch for the additional toilet.

Is this extrusion branch important? Can I remove and replace with a tee branch?

Any help is appreciated, thanks very much.

Just an update. After a little more digging on the internet, I've found out that its actually called an access branch. These are important but i can replace it with a new access branch that also has a branch on it for connecting the toilet too.

Glad i've an answer, even if i did figure it out myself :-P

"extrusion branch"? Do you mean a cleanout?

You should be able to use Clean Out as the 2nd toilet sewer pipe. You can install new Clean out on this same pipe in different location.

Yes, I believe a clean out/access branch are the same thing. I have found a branch which has the screw cap on it for access/clean out on one side and an additional part on it which is for attaching the toilet. If I could post a photo, you'd know what I mean.
