I am going to install a stand up shower in my shop bathroom however there is currently no existing drain.
I am on a very tight budget and need an affordable solution.
The existing plumbing is located approximately 6' away behind a wall with easy access.
Is it possible to build a base to go under said shower and run PVC along the wall over to the current drain pipe?
How much pitch would be needed?

Absolutely it can be done ! By Code, you will need 2" drain pipe with trap and 1/4" per foot slope towards existing drain. However, if you have elevation problem, you can get away even with 1/8" per foot. Install new shower on pedestal as high as you need for drain to slope all the way to existing drain. If the pedestal is higher than 11", split it and put in a large step. That way it will be easier, and safer, to enter and exit the shower.

If you wanna go a bit fancier, there is a system called Saniflow. It consists of shower base and a built-in pump. It will pump out water to the nearest drain eliminating the elevation problems. Actually, it is made for situations like yours
