My question is in regard to the hair follicle drug test. My son came up positive for oxycodone on the extended opiates with 3715 pg/mg as the result (cut off was 200 pg/mg). The lab was Omega laboratories in Ohio (specifically Omega Laboratories, Inc. 400 N. Cleveland Ave, Mogadore, OH 44260).

He is taking suboxone 8 mg daily which when I called the hair follicle drug test company was considered a high dose. Is there a possibility this was cross reacted even though they use GC/MS confirmatory tests? His random urine drug tests I give him was negative and he is negative for oxycodone at the doctor's office.

I just wanna make sure this is a full proof 100% test.

What does your doctor say about the urine results? Hair follicle and the confirmation tests are far more accurate and comprehensive than just a urine test. Did your doctor follow up with a blood test?
