This is the round knob style where you go diagonal to the left for hot or diagonal to the right for cold. Once you pull off the handle, the valve guts come out in a single assembly. There are two rubber gaskets with springs and plastic pieces for each. I tried replacing this TWICE. Both times the drip stops for about a month but then it starts up again. What am I doing wrong?

There may be debris in the ports of the faucet, when you replaced the rubber gaskets did you flush the faucet, if not this how you do it close the angle valves under the sink remove the gasket and the springs, now put a towel on top of the faucet and open the angle valves to flush out any debris, close the angle valves and assemble, see if the drip is stopped, if you still have problem please tell us the brand and the model number of your faucet or post a picture, Thanks.

I don't recall the model # or brand of this style faucet. Here is an image with the spare parts below. Right now I've disassembled and reassembled twice. I am getting about one drop of water per 15 seconds. This is much better than the almost steady trickle but I think it's only a matter of time before I get back to that.

The only thing that I can suggest when you have time disassemble one more time check the hot and cold sides where the black rubber seals go for any distortions are any nicks clean the ports surface and flush it out as I mentioned in post #2, assemble it and check hope fully no drips, Thanks.

I think the 3ird time's a charm! So far no drips. Here is a view of the inside without the parts. I don't know if you can see any blemishes or reasons it's been so difficult. I flushed out the ports and lubricated the parts with plumber's grease. Time will tell.
