    1040 nr
    I am in US on H1B .I came in the month of December so my salary for filing federal tax return is $ 3446 . What will be the tax that I will have to pay and can I get standard deduction.

    File Form 1040NR-EZ.

    You cannot claim the standard deduction, but your personal exemption of $3,300 will offset e all but $146 of your salary. Your tax will be about $15.
