Hi Doctor,


My periods will not be proper, like 2 months or 2.5 months, I married in October, 2014. Can I get pregnant is th're any problem to get pregnant. I contacted doctor they said I have Water bubbles in stomach.


I contacted doctor they said I have water bubbles in stomach. My doctor has given following tablets,

Naturogest 200mg - 15 tablets - to get period - Fully taken
CystraRx - 60 tablets - Morning and Night - taking from 1 week
Metital - 30 tablets - After Noon - taking from 1 week

Please tell me is there any problem to get pregnant?

Why not ask your doctor?

Assuming you started trying after you got married its only been a few months. Generally you should wait about 6 months after you start trying and then consult an OB/Gyn to test you and your husband.

I have to disagree with Scott. Six months is nothing. It takes the average couple 1-2 years to conceive once they actively start trying.

Having said that, I do agree that you should be talking to your doctor about this. Your doctor knows your medical history, has done the tests, and best of all, he has a medical degree. No one on this site is a doctor, so we could only guess.

Talk to your doctor about this.

I will say that my mom was lucky to have one period a year, and because of a ruptured appendix when she was 18 her fallopian tubes were destroyed. She had to have a procedure done every month so she could release and egg. After 8 years of this she finally conceived, and I was born. I'm 44, so this was 52 years ago. Science has come a long way since then, and many women with issues such as irregular periods, or other things, can now conceive much easier than my mother could.

Talk to your doctor about how this will affect your fertility, what you can do to make the chances of pregnancy higher, and then be patient.

Thank you for your valuable reply. I asked the Doctor she said need to take treatment for 3 months.

But I'm afraid that, near my home almost 2 to 3 ladies have not got pregnant till, almost 4 to 5 years married life and also my sister got delivered twice when she was till 8 months pregnant.

I'm sorry if you misunderstood. There are no doctors who are members of this site. Also, in researching your medications, it appears you are in India. This is a global website and medications vary by location.

With that said, it takes the average healthy couple up to a year or more of actively trying before conception takes place. You have only been married, and trying, for 3 months. It's really too early for medical intervention unless you have other health concerns you haven't mentioned.

Alty, we don't disagree. It took us 6 years to conceive. But my info is that an OB/Gyn will not start doing fertility testing until after 6 months and some will wait even longer.

Sorry Scott. I should have worded it differently. It took my parents 8 years to conceive, but they had fertility issues. For me it was 7 months of trying for Jared, 10 months of trying for Syd, and then one night of stupidity for the last one which I lost.

I guess I was trying to say that it can take time, and patience, even if there's nothing medically wrong.
