Sadly there's no way to tell you online if what you experienced was a period, spotting, or something else. It's not possible to give this information online, even a doctor that you see in person would have difficulty telling you if what you experienced was a period or something else, unless testing showed another reason for the bleeding.

If you feel you may be pregnant, wait 2 weeks after your period was due and then test using first morning urine. If that test is negative, wait for your next period and if you miss it, test again or get a blood test done.
