I have a Kenmore dryer that keeps stopping mid cycle whenever the clothes bump it! It is very annoying since clothes don't dry and doing laundry takes forever! Does anyone know what's wrong with it or should I just buy a new dryer? I just had repaired because it wouldn't heat and repairman was just here! Ugh.

Have you made sure that the latches are working right, one could be deformed not allowing for it to stay shut. That might be something you could be able to fix. If not do you have something heavy nearby...

I have seen people lean a heavy chair against the door until they can either get a new latch or fix the old one by tightening it up. Dryers need to be totally torn down and cleaned every year or so, depending on the amount of clothes dried that year.

Does it do the same thing with a smaller load?
