Hi my dogs a 4year old Bassett hound and I feed her 3times a day. 7,12 and 6. She has a diet of rice, veg seems to be allergic to protein so I keep that to a minimum. Over the last 2 months she has woken at 2 in the morning to go to the toilet. I let her out frequently through out the day and at about 10-11 every night before bed. It doesn't matter she still wakes me up... Please help.

What has your vet said? It's possible she has a UTI.

If she is going out to pass stool then it could be because you are feeding her too much. Just how much do you give her three times a day ? Otherwise please be specific if you mean, passing stool or passing urine.

I agree with J9, sounds like a possible UTI. Obviously this is a new behavior, and any new behavior should first be checked by the vet, to make sure it's not a medical issue.
