    Brake light
I have a 96 1500 w/t chevy pick up. For some reason the brake light comes on when I have to make a sudden stop. I then pump the brakes and the light goes out. I have replace the front pads and the rear shoes. All the lines have been bled and I'm not losing any brake fluid but the problem still persists. Any thoughts?

Check for codes with an ABS code reader. If you haven't been changing the brake fluid every 2 years, there could be a problem with the ABS module (e.g., corrosion). Otherwise, you may still have air/moisture in the system. You may want to completely change the brake fluid and bleed the system again. Do it in this order: RR, LF, LR, and RF. Most likely, you have air/moisture in the system. Try using a one-man bleeder.

If you have a hydro-boost system, make sure the power steering reservoir is full and not leaking.
