Does turning the faucet on and off multiple times damage the pipes?
Does turning on and off the faucet multiple times and only having the water on for a little bit for each time cause damage to the pipes?

No, pipes far exceed any normal water pressure.

Inside your faucet are O-rings, little rubber rings that make sure that it doesn't leak. They get a little thinner every time you turn on and off the tap. It is something to think about, but all you will get is a leaky faucet.

Faucets are made to be turned on and off, millions of times. Why do you ask?

Okay, I will ask too. Why does someone turn the faucet on and off multiple times for a little while each time ? Unless the person is trying to save on his water bill, but even then it doesn't make any sense.

Do you have a child that plays with the taps ?
