You must file as a resident and you can file jointly. You must obtain an ITIN for your wife.Quote:

Yes, you CAN file jointly with your wife if you BOTH choose to be treated as resident aliens. If that choice is made, the residency status also applies to the child, so you can claim the child as well IF the child was with the mother the entire year.
