Changed out my thermostat now fan doesn't kick on nor does it come on manually

You must have wired it improperly.

No, I've checked and double checked. I even clipped the wires back to insure good contact

I'd like to start with some basics. What stat did you buy, what stat did you remove and what type of furnace or boiler do you have?
