Give it a bit more time to see if your period is just off this cycle. If still no period, either try another test, using first morning urine, or see your doctor for a test there. If you have to test later in the day, you can improve accuracy simply by avoiding too much to drink for several hours before urinating.

Periods can be off now and then, so it may just be an off cycle, but since you have apparently been trying to conceive, hopefully you will get a positive result, if not this time then before too much longer! Good luck!

Just a tip with ovulation kits... sometimes it can be a good idea to start testing several days sooner than what is normally suggested. This will mean purchasing two test kits and starting them several days sooner and continuing several days longer if need be. Most women will ovulate in a fairly predictable pattern, but you may naturally ovulate a bit sooner or a bit later than the norm, and you can have the occasional off ovulation even for yourself.

6 days late, is a little early to test. Esp, if not using first urine of the morning.
So, try another test in the morning, first urine. If still negative wait till you are 2 week late, and do another test, with first urine of the morning. It is still a little early to test.

No, at this point, most women have no signs,
