    Cost of dentures
Can anyone help me? I had to have dentures back in the 80's. I had a top plate and a removable partial and two gold caps. I know it had to be over $3,000 back then but my mother insist it didn't cost that much. Can anyone tell me what it may have cost. I'd like to settle this with my mother.
    Thank you

Can't be answered, sorry. Prices vary even within a country, and vary by what you had done and the quality of the plates, caps, and dentures. I can imagine 3,000 or more even in the 80s. If you are just settling an argument, then forget about it. If you need to pay her, pay her the higher amount. If you really have to know, find the dentist!

Without knowing the complete dental work done, it is hard to estimate what that would have cost back in the 80s. The two gold crowns would have driven the cost up; and if the dentist did your dentures that would too. Denturists are cheaper because they have their own labs, whereas dentists send out to do dentures, expensive. Did you have any root canals done ? Prep work is necessary.

No, sorry, cannot give you even a rough estimate.

It could have cost 3000 to 4000 back then, esp with other dental work.
