    Folic Acid in All9 tablets
I am 4-5 weeks pregnant. Doctor has advised me to take one All9 tablet daily. I asked her about folic acid and she mentioned that All9 tablet contains Folic acid as well.
However, in the composition of this tablet it does not list Folic Acid.
Can you please advice if All9 contains Folic Acid? And if it does, in what quantity? I have read somewhere that 5mg of Folic Acid is needed per day. Does 1 tablet of All9 contain 5mg of folic acid?

    Thanks in anticipation.

You'll see the folic acid as folate or b9. It doesn't have 5 mg, but it does have an adequate amount. You can also choose foods and drinks that will give you some extra folic acid.

Thanks a lot for your response. Really appreciate that.

It contains 1mg of L-methylfolate calcium (in addition to 1500 mcg of methylcobalamin and 0.5 mg of pyridoxal-5-phosphate).

Should that take care of folic acid needs during pregnancy or should I take some more folic acid supplements?

    Thanks again.

The 1 mg is within the range that is often suggested for use in pregnancy. Unless there was a medical reason, your doctor may not feel there is a need to take any more than that. Next time you have an appointment, you can ask, but I would think if your doctor felt you needed more, he would have prescribed a product with more in it or an additional folic acid tablet.
