Loved a fantasy film that I saw once in 2000... I saw it on VHS recorded from TV, maybe it was the Hallmark channel. Now I want to know more about it, I don't even know its name!
It was about a family, the dad was a teacher (I think), one son and one daughter. And then some kind of gnomes start to spy on them. I think they kidnap the mother... not sure. But soon the family (the whole I think, if the mother wasn't kidnaped) is on a ship on the sea with some strange guys. And on their voyage they meet a different kind of people, Medusa, Minosauros... I remember something with some orange glass that maybe been found by the dad and if he used it he could look at Medusa without turning in to stone.
And I remember sweet little guys, hairy ears with a blue and with shirt, an elf iI think...
This movie was a childrens' movie, English childrens' movie, very good. Love it and want it!
