Weak air flow from furnace air ducts
I have a CARRIER central air w/heat pump, blower motor stopped working so I replaced a faulty run capacitor. Now the blower runs but now I have weak air flow from the vents. I replaced the blower motor & capacitor 2 years ago using quality new Dayton motor & capacitor. This time when the capacitor failed the blower motor got very hot & I suspect it may have sustained some damage. I changed wire to different speeds but still has weak air flow. Motor sounds OK and runs fast. I think the blower RPMS must be to slow possibly due to the overheating. DO you think my next step is to replace the blower motor?

There is only 1 "blower" (air handler) motor. Motor is direct connect to the blower cage. If the "Motor sounds OK and runs fast"' the blower is running the same. Make sure you don't have a collapsed return duct.
