    My 1995 civic won't start
I have a 95 civic ex, that , after replacing the fuel pump, and driving it a few days, will no longer start. Has good spark to all 4 cylinders, as I bought new plugs, put them on the plug wires, laid out over the valve cover and cranked the engine to check for spark. All 4 look good, any ideas? Thank you.

Make sure that the CEL comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II). During this 2 second interval, ensure that you can hear the fuel pump run. If both of these items check out, the problem resides with the distributor.

It may be sparking, but not at the right time. Try replacing the Ignitiion Control Module (ICM) inside the distributor. Be sure to apply silicone heat transfer compound to the back of the new ICM; otherwise, it won't last long. This is a good time to replace the rotor and distributor cap, if they have not been changed in 60,000 miles.

Thank you, I will try that. The CEL does come on and go off, and there is fuel to the fuel filter, don't have a gauge to check the pressure, and was told you really need the "master" set to get all the correct adaptors, to check the pressure on the honda.

The price for a master set to check fuel pressure was over 300 dollars, ouch.

Originally the car wouldn't start, the following morning it did, and ran great. After several more starts over the workshift, the last time, it started, and then acted like it ran out of gas, that's why I changed the pump. When I came back with the tow dolley to bring it home. It started and ran, drove it onto the dolley, brought it home and drove it off, and up into garage, where I changed the pump, drove all weekend fine, drove to work Monday, after work, it wouldn't run, and that's where I'm at with it right now. Did have it towed home and put back in the garage, will try to work on it this week, supposed to warm up again, little cold here in mn right now. Thanks again.
