Is it awful to tell my fiancé that I hate my engagement ring?
It's over 2 CT"s and it's too flashy and not my taste at all. I feel funny wearing it because it's really not my taste but I don't want to hurt his feelings.. I'm not sure what to do.I know he spent a small fortune on it as well.

I'm very rarely speechless. This is one of those rare times.

You need to sit down and talk to him. Don't tell him you hate it, but rather that you think it may be too extravagant and that the money toward the ring could be better spent toward the wedding.

First, I guess it is just me, I can't believe he would buy it, without you helping to pick it out.

With that said, are you planning to wear it after the wedding, or just on special occasions after the wedding?
