    Toilet tank problem
So I noticed a few days ago my tank has the running water sound. It won't stop either. When you flush it, it sounds normal then the noise just quiets down but still continues. Upon looking inside, the water fills past water line and the black tube that sits inside of the overflow tunnel has a small stream of water that continues to run... I do not know much about toilets or even what each part is called so any help is much appreciated. :)

Respond to hkstroud it may be a simple fix if we know which fill valve you have may need a slight adjustment, Thanks.

I have a valve similar to the one on the left.

although, it doesn't have an arm or a cap. It just looks like a small box with a small rubber tube connecting to the overflow tunnel

Unfortunately I do not have a user manual but the box does say HUNTER as the company ( I would assume) and ANTI SIPHON under what looks like a small vent.

link to to a picture. (This is a picture I found in the internet, since I do not really want take a picture of mine) but mine does have the three screws on top as well as a rubber tube running to the overflow tunnel so I would assume this is close to or the exact model I have... From the looks of it, it seems pretty outdated.

Since we don't know what the brand of your fill valve and don't know the repair procedure, I suggest that you just replace it with a Fluidmaster. Cost would be about $15 and a 30 minute task.
