    Suggest some standard Horror Movies
People please suggest some good Horror/Thriller movies to watch. Most of them that I download are B grade movies. Google never solves this... SUGGESTIONS PLEASE.

    Unreal thrillers:
    The Exorcist
    Alien
Night of the Living Dead (B&W)
Dawn of the Dead (if this is the sequel that has all the zombies at the mall)
    Invasion of the Body Snatchers

    Realistic thrillers:
See No Evil (1971, not the recent ones) with Mia Farrow as a blind woman whose family is murdered and she's the only one left
    Seven (7 grisly murders)
My favorite creepy movie that is more a psychological thriller, but with violence once in the middle, and then a lot at the end: The Stepfather (1987 version), about a teen girl whose mother marries a very ordinary man, but the girl is suspicious, and rightly so

(I'm 68 and prefer mostly older movies)

@Joy. Why do you keep pointing you are old. You are not over 70 ! I am over 70 and I don't say I am old. I am not old yet.

I suppose I do say it a lot. Usually as shorthand. In this case "I haven't been to a horror movie in 20+ years because I'm 68."
I'll just state my age if I think it's relevant, and edit the response above.

Not that I'm a member of the club that seems to want to be forever young, and even finds the word 'old' offensive.
I feel old, I hurt, I'm losing my memory and ability to calculate, and I have the usual assortment of aging problems like collapsing vertebrae, and I nap frequently. I'M OLD!

Not sure what kind of horror you are looking for...bloody? Creepy?

    Some films I like:

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark
    Conjuring
    Insidious
    The Descent
    Feast
    Drag Me to Hell
    Rec (1, 2, and 3)
    Dog Soldiers

There's also a huge list of great Asian horror but not everyone likes it.
