I saw in some earlier posts answers which include a "high loop install." I've just purchased a new dishwasher & there is a hose looped on the left side of it.
And your question is?
New dishwasher (& new air gap) in drain cycle causes water to come out of the air gap. Checked all of the hoses & disposal for clogs, but everything is clear.
The dishwasher pumps the water up to the air gap. It then flows from gravity down the larger of the two hoses to the disposal. If you have water coming out air gap the large hose must be blocked or restricted. Make sure that the large hose is not blocked or kinked so as to restrict the flow.
Did you install a new disposal?

Hello dniebuhr,
I responded to your other post and have the images attached for the high loop installation, Thanks.
