I have an old house built in 1958. The kitchen sink won't drain and we have tried snaking it. Have had no luck getting the snake tru what ever is going on. But my toilet and shower work fine so my question is does the kitchen sink go into the septic line or does it drain separate? Any ideas on how to in block?

What kind of snake, manual or power?

Drill power just would not advance afraid to use anything stronger

It is almost a certainty that a house built in 1958 will have galvanized steel and cast iron drain piping. That means accumulated sediment and rust inside the galvanized pipe over the years.
I assume a drill powered snake would mean steel cable inside a plastic sheathing. Not the most flexible for making turns.
Suggest you purchase or rent a small powered drain snake.

Of course the kitchen drain will intersect the main drain somewhere but not likely be to at toilet. The galvanized most likely goes down to larger cast iron. In a 1959 house on a septic tank, the kitchen drain probably goes to a grease trap then to the main line to the septic tank.

Small powered drain snake is the answer.
