    Lease agreement help
I signed a lease and it was up in May 2014 and I did not physically sign another but I tell the landlord on the phone I'm staying . Is a verbal over the phone the same thing as signing again ? Or am I month to month ? I live in North Carolina . Please help

What is the term in the old lease ? Is there any clause, that says, it will automatically renew. Or some clause that says a verbal OK will renew?

But no, verbal is not the same, a lease must be signed. So, you are on the terms of the old lease, but basically on a month to month. So, notice to move, or price is still on the old lease, but there is no time other than month to month.

Many leases do have a rollover clause for another whole year, and nothing has to be signed, legal as long as nothing has changed in the costs or terms. So yes, what does it say in the old lease?
