Okay, so at work, this girl was talking to this gay dude, and he likes to mess around so he told the girl, cause she told him she was going to go out after work, if she was going out with me on a date. He told me she said "No." And he said "Why not?" To which she responded "Because he doesn't like me." And he said "How do you know?" And she just said "I don't, why would he?" I know this cause I asked him. So, I started talking to this girl and we flirted a bit back and forth throughout the week and then one day she told someone I should text her, but she said it out loud. I told her I didn't have her number, cause I overheard her, and she TOLD me her number, but obviously I didn't remember it all and I was busy. So the next day I asked her if she was going to text me and she said "I don't have your number." And I told her "well then why did you say you'd text me?" Then she said "When did I say that?" And I told her about yesterday, then I asked her for her number so I could text her and she just laughed and walked away. Tf was that all about? Should I try again or just say it? I assumed she wanted me to have it, so I asked a guy that works with us if he could give me the last 2 numbers cause I remebered the first 5, and he did. But I still asked her for it the day after so now I don't want to text her cause that would seem desperate. What do you guys think? Sorry, I'm 20 and she's 18, still in HS. If that helps. I had to stop by at work tomorrow to check my schedule and she works should I ask her again tomorrow? [emoji36] [emoji52]

Dating in the workplace is never advised. Find someone who is not filled with such drama and doesn't work with you.

I wouldn't be bothered with all that drama where I worked.

Okay. I can't really meet anyone anywhere else, I work and go to school full time and I'm not 21 so can't go to clubs/bars.

Are you homeschooled? Are you the only student in your school?

Workplace relationships never ever work, they usually end up in disaster.

No girls at school? They would be a preferable choice to check out than a high school co worker in my view. Not just for romance but friends, or hangout buddies, or study partners.

God didn't make ANY ugly women, and you obviously haven't learned that beauty is only skin deep. If all you see is a bunch of ugly girls, and girls with boyfriends, then I dare say you are looking, but NOT seeing. I get you are looking for a girlfriend, but I highly suggest that you engage with females as friends, and people for fun, as you never know who THEIR friends are.

Bars should be the last resort for meeting good fun people, but knowing where good fun people your age hang out is half the battle. Any drunk fool can meet another drunk fool in a meat market. A guy your age doesn't have to settle for trolling high schools to meet and make fun female friends either.

Guess you have to learn, and practice dating for FUN, and NOT just romance. Why focus on just ONE when there are MANY?

That sounded really bad, but I do feel I need to be physically attracted to a girl before trying to talk to her with the intention of having a relationship with her. I don't need "friends" I don't think a guy can be JUST friends with a girl.

To each their own, I have friends, but I don't need anymore is what I meant. I've tried having girl friends but one of us always falls for the other.

It's kind of sad you can't find someone in college, and I find it hard to believe there are no attractive girls who are not dating someone.
Going for a high school girl and then asking what is wrong with her... well for one thing she is a teen, and it could be she may think you're cute but she is not that interested in you.
