    Honeywell rth221 installation
I have electric heat, baseboard radiaters. Present thermostat is mercury with 2 wires green black and white. I want to change to programmable rth 221. Can this be done and where do the 2 wires go?

Thank you. There are many numbers but the one that looks like the "model number" is 9608 E14-4.
    Other numbers: type: IF 30W-301.
Please note there is an error in my original question. There only TWO wires, one black one white. I hope you can figure this out. Dirk

Hey Dirk, I didn't come up with any thing on those numbers. Most likely the old stat was rated for 120V. The Honeywell RTH 221 won't work with 120V. What you need is a line voltage stat. Let me look around and see what I can come up with.
