I took about 6 pills of ultram about two weeks ago (no rx for it) and now my employer wants me to take a hair test and send it to the psychemedics corporation. All I found in the internet is that they do a 5 panel test (couldn't get confirmation if they do higher panel tests). Will they test for ultram because I've read that a 5 panel will not find it. Has anyone else had this happen?

Don't take anything that isn't over the counter and you don't have a prescription for. For one it's illegal, and two you don't know what kind of reaction you'll have. Stop doing it.

Thanks for judging me so quickly. I got the job and haven't taken anything since my scare except the ultram. I only took two pills a day for three days because of a back ache. My brother gave them to me. I wasn't trying to get high and this is the only thing in my system.

So... the pattern here is you're going to get tested. You have two options
1). Try to be smarter and do what you want.
2). Abstain from the prohibited substances.

You're not likely to fail, but only the results of the test will tell for sure. Don't take anyone else's medication. There isn't any wiggle around that. It doesn't matter if it is your brother or Jesus himself coming down from heaven to hand you a few adderall. I have chronic back pain from my hips to my shoulders. There are many over the counter pain relievers that work.

Tramadol usually is not tested for even in the extended opiate panel. Beside you most likely didn't do enough to show positive on a hair drug test. A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample, cut at the scalp line, will go back 90 days. My best non-judgmental answer would be you should be negative on a hair drug test.
