    Treaty with germany and usa
A German citizen living in Germany no us citizenship, no presence in USA
Received interest, dividends, American Social Security, and AT&T Us pension
Through her deceased spouse who was a US citizen. I am filing her 1040Nr form because of the pension income. I realize interest and Soc Sec are tax free, but what about the pension income?

    Thank you vey much

The dividends ARE taxable. The interest is NOT taxable, but the Social Security MAY be taxable. The pension is only axable by the U.S. if Germany is NOT taxing it.You should get PROFESSIONAL help completing your tax return, because it is easy to complete the Form 1040NR incorrectly for a case like yours.
