Hair drug test! Need advice asap!!
Hi, I need advice, I smoked marijuana on October 12,2014, I hadn't smoked in a couple of months since I'm an infrequent user, but that day I smoked I did like 3 hits & that's it' I got hair drug tested on October 22,2014, 10 days later... is it likely to pass or fail the test? Please answer asap! I'm so worried!' Thank you!

We don't have any special insight to the lab. They are who determines if you pass or fail. All we can do is guess, and a guess has no value. But my guess is its not a certain fail...so there is a decent chance you might pass.

A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample, cut at the scalp line, will go back 90 days. Since you are an infrequent user my best educated guess (I have special insight to the lab as hair drug testing is what I do for a living) is that you should come up negative.

mydogfifi - 10 days after smoking would the hair have grown out from the head enough to even be part of the sample? I have had two hair tests in my life and both times, they never cut right at the scalp... it is more like 1/8" of hair, maybe a little less, plus the root left on my head. I'm guessing that it would be negative for both quantity and time...

Each person would be a little different in regards to how fast hair grows. It usually takes 5-10 days for the hair to grow above the scalp but if they cut the hair 1/8" above the scalp that would slightly change the time frame. But I don't think 1/8" is of any consequence.
