I have a 2002 honda that works perfectly in the summer but when the temp drops to the 30s the engine light and TCS light and the car does not switch gears properly.. Very hard to get out of first gear until I go about 30 miles or so

You need to find out what the codes are.

. Check for codes.
. Ensure you are using the proper viscosity oil, per the ambient temperature.
. Replace the spark plugs (NGK only), if they have not been changed in 3 years.
