Are you saying that you are pouring water into the prime port on the port but it is just running through and not filling up, or do you mean you are putting in water until it overflows, plugging the port, and the pump will not pump?

If you ave installed a faulty foot valve rather then pull the valve and replace why not simply install a new check valve at ground level. Good luck, Tom
