    Experiencing irregularities
Hi.. good evening.. I'm 21 years old already and way back when I was 18 years old I have started experiencing irregularities on my period... I thought it was just normal to have irregularities but then as months went by.. sometimes my menstruation reaches 6 months until I could have my menstruation again.. u see I'm kind of fat.. so I think maybe it's the fats that are trapping my blood... this year 2014.. I had my period (regular) last January until march.. but then after that I had no menstruation again until now (October).. wish that someone could help me... I cant seek any doctor cause my money is not enough to buy the medicines that they would let me take (cause I have a cousin who had the same experience as mine but she was able to seek a doctor and the medicines being given are very expensive)

The fats won't trap your blood, but being overweight, along with irregular periods, can sometimes be associated with a condition called PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). IF this was to be the issue, the medications that are sometimes used can be purchased inexpensively. It will depend on what the reason for the irregular cycles are, so the first thing would be to see your doctor. At the very least you would be able to hopefully be given a reason and then you can find out more about ways to obtain any medication if needed.
