Im writing on behalf of my friend. He's a 51 year old male who smokes daily. I have noticed the last couple days He's been getting light headed and dizzie upon standing, legs weak as if to give out. Please any information would help .

That is usually a sign of low blood pressure or worse. I would take him to the ER quickly.

Yes, and those symptoms not due positively to smoking, but sounds like he has other health issues you don't know about.
