Normal levels for blood sugar anytime throughout the day are 60-110. The reason that they shouldn't really be higher is because when you eat something that is broken down into sugars, your body should automatically compensate or balance that amount od glucose.

It may vary a little more than that, but it shouldn't by much.
    Hope this helps.

Actually, you should check your blood sugar BEFORE you eat. I don't know your situation or your weight, but type two diabetes directly correlates with being overweight. In studies, people who are pre-diabetic who have lost 15% of their total body weight have become nomotensive (within normal range for blood pressure), have fallen into a normal cholesterol levels and have maintained normal blood sugar levels.
Diabetes causes so many other medical problems.
It causes heart problems and wears out your kidneys possibly leading to dialysis treatments.

20-30 minutes of walking 5 days a week can nip this in the bud before it starts.

Sorry-I got off on a health kick.

So, people who are newly diagnosed with diabetes check their blood sugar at least 4 times a day. Before each meal and before bed. You could routinely check it maybe after meals and such, but you are really going to get a variable of levels.

    About how you feel:
Low blood sugar could make you feel tired, cold or clammy, light headed or dizzy. You should immedately drink something with sugar in it... like orange juice.

High blood sugar could make you feel jittery, nervous, or light headed. You should check your blood sugar and call your doctor.

    Hope this helps!

Actually these answers are wrong. Blood sugar levels can go as high as 190 in a normal person one hour after they eat, depending on how much they eat.

A normal FASTING (nothing to eat in the last 4 hours) level is between 60-110.

Also, Type two diabetes occurs in a lot of people that are NOT overweight. It has a very strong genetic component, especially in Hispanics.

    Normal Fasting plasma sugar < 100 - ww.diabetes.org

    60 is hypoglycemic

"Normal levels for blood sugar anytime throughout the day are 60-110" #2 above, is wrong.
Sugar levels depend on activity, and carbohydrate / caloric intake and when the sugar is checked [ before or at a time after eating ]. The sugar level is dynamic [ it changes ] thruout the day.

Also Google "emedicine diabetes " for more detailed info.
