I was j/w if there's anyway I can get a marujuana charge erased off my record it happing when I was 17 years old and I went to jail for like four hours until I got bonded out... I ending up going to court the first time and pleading not quilty only were I would have enuff time to pay my fines off... so I ended up paying all my fines off which in total come up to 1,480 $ cash... it was only a misdamener... I have nothing else on my recored I am now 19 and won't to know if there's anyway I can get it sealed were I don't have to put it on job applacations!. First please don't take a lot of offense, but you need to take a look at your spelling, that will hurt your jobs app a lot more than a simple possession charge when you were 17.

Did you go to adult court or did you go to juv court?? Normally at 17 Georgia will take you to adult court. Was it a city violation or a state charge?? And of course cash or money order is the only way most courts accept their money.

If this happened less than two years ago, I doubt they will allow you to have it explunged yet, normally they will want it to be 5 or closer to 8 years before the court will do it.

No I went to adlut court and yeah I had to pay it in cheack... but it was still cash out of my pocket... and I know my spelling is not that great... Im About to go to Job corp's to have a better life ahead of me and learn what I should have when I was out running the street's... It's like I grew up overnight... im tired of this you know hoodlum life I kind of got going on I'm ready to change... I recently stop smoking weed and I was an everyday smoker for quit somtime I've been off it for 2 weeks and it isn't really to hard anymore though I do get the urge... I just think its time to better my life... were I won't be stuck in my late 20's thinking what the Fack Im going to do... thanks for the info... if you have anymore help me out!!

And I'm pretty sure it was city charge I got cought in the city so doesent that make it a city charge?!

I think after 5 years it can be taken off your record. I'm not an attorney but, I've had the same charge myself and I'm sure that's how it works. I'm also in Kentucky so the laws could be different.
