Honeywell RTH3560D thermostat installed and a/c is not coming on
We had an old Bestech non programmable and it decided to become non-functioning today. We picked up a Honeywell RTH3560D and installed it.
Went through all the function set ups. Turned the breaker back on, went through the compressor reset and the unit did not come on. We have tried all the troubleshooting suggestions in the installation guide.

Still, no bueno. Husband check to make sure all the wires were fully seeded. We have an a/c unit and heat pump with a back up electrical heater.

    Wires moved:
    W1 to Aux E
    G to G
    O to O/B
    Y1 to Y
    R to R

    C wire going to nothing

Black spaces left with no wire: L and RC

Any one have any suggestions before we call in the cavalry and write a check?

Make sure there is a jumper from R to RC.

Bitters: There is a jumper from R to RC. I just double checked the wires and their diagram, our set up appears correct, we flipped the breaker again and let it go through the compressor reset. Still not blowing. It's still warm here and the heat just ruins my husband's normally very calm demeanor.

Evidently it doesn't help me either since I originally answered my thread instead of replying. :(
