You figure about 0.4 psi per foot of elevation. So at 100 feet, it would be forty pounds or so of head pressure. That's not exact. You can look up the exact figure if needed. It's actually a little more than the 0.4 figure, but that's usually close enough.

Bear in mind that this is per foot of elevation, not per foot of length.

Sounds like you are studuying for a test and think this is a good place to start. It is in miost cases but nothing like the bstudy materials you were likely given. The slope of a drain depends on the size of the pipe. There is no slope needed for a supple

We pitch our drainage at 1/4" to the foot for 2" and under and 1/8 per foot for 3" and over.
